Unbundling: Employee union backs strike call by power dept
A major employee union representing thousands of workers in the three regions of J&K has supported the 72-hour strike call given by employees against the unbundling of the power development department.
The Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh All-Department Clerical Staff Association has extended support to the Power Employees’ Coordination Committee which has given a three-day strike call from September 24 against the decision of the state government to reorganise the department after J&K and Ladakh become union territories (UTs) on October 30.
