UK trade pact: India weighs offering duty concessions for EVs

New Delhi: India is weighing its options to offer tariff concessions to products such as electric vehicles that receive support under the government’s phased manufacturing programme, as part of the proposed free trade agreement with the UK.

Discussions on the proposed trade pact are now in their final phase and the agreement is likely to be inked by Diwali, officials said.
