UK citizen, passengers offloaded from Kochi-Dubai flight
A Dubai-bound flight, which offloaded a UK tourist who had tested positive for COVID 19, departed from Cochin International Airport on Sunday afternoon with 270 passengers after leaving behind 20 passengers.
These passengers, including the UK tourist and his wife, were shifted to the quarantine centre at Kalamassery Medical College. The other passengers are at Aluva government hospital. One passenger has voluntarily opted to cancel the journey and went on home quarantine after medical tests, Kerala Agriculture Minister VS Sunil Kumar told reporters.
The runway was made available for departure of this delayed flight as there was no normal operation from 10 AM to 6 PM due to a resurfacing project, which will be completed on March 28.
