Two rainwater tanks of 9 million litre capacity being installed: DIAL
The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) on Tuesday said that they are establishing two rainwater storage tanks of a total nine million litre capacity at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport.
According to the statement issued by the DIAL, the two reservoirs – one near Terminal 1 and the other near Terminal 2 of Delhi airport – will become operational in the coming monsoon.
“These would help the airport store about nine million litres of rainwater. Once commissioned, the stored rainwater would be able to supplement the demand of water and will help in water sustenance at the airport,” the DIAL further stated.
