Two new Delhi Metro lines get Union Cabinet approval: Here are details about route, deadline, stations

The Union Cabinet today approved the development of two new Delhi Metro corridors on Wednesday. The corridors will connect Lajpat Nagar to G Block in Saket and Inderlok to Indraprastha, with a combined length of approximately 20 km. The new corridor will benefit nearly 2.5 lakh commuters. The announcement comes just days before the dates for the Lok Sabha elections are announced. The metro project will cost around Rs 8,600 crore.
