NEW DELHI : Indian aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has suspended two pilots of Wadia Group controlled GoAir after an airline’s flight was involved in a ‘serious incident’ while flying between Nagpur and Bangalore in November.
GoAir-operated G8-811, an Airbus A320neo aircaft (VT-WGR), was involved in a serious incident in Bangalore on 11 November, a senior DGCA official said.
DGCA investigation has revealed that the flight crew continued to land after losing visual reference at about 50 feet over Bangalore, thus violating the mandatory civil aviation requirements.
