Two electrocution deaths in east Delhi
NEW DELHI: Two persons working in different eateries of east Delhi were electrocuted in separate incidents.
In the first incident, Mahipat (28), a resident of Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh, died at 11.45am on Saturday in Laxmi Nagar as current flowed through a mixer-grinder at ‘Ganesh Corner” shop, police said.
Shop’s owner, Rakesh Gupta, and his son, Naveesh, have been booked and an FIR, under Section 304A (causing death due to negligence) of IPC, has been registered, police added.
During the probe, cops found that Mahipat, working at the shop for five years, received an electric shock while mixing masala and was taken to LNJP hospital, which informed police about the incident and sent the body for autopsy.
