Trainer aircraft crash-lands on field, pilot sustains minor injury

A 22-year-old woman trainee pilot sustained minor injuries after a trainer aircraft from a private aviation academy, which she was flying, crash-landed on a field in Indapur taluka of Pune district on Monday morning.

Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia said that an investigation has been launched by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to ascertain the cause of the incident. While the plane crashed less than 100 feet away from the nearest house on the farm, no casualties were reported on the ground.

Local residents told The Indian Express that two more aircraft were seen hovering at the time of the accident, which police believe were part of the sortie from the same training establishment, Carver Aviation.
