Total of 379 stations under central railway connected with Wifi

PUNE: A total of 379 stations on central railway have been equipped with free high speed Wi-Fi Internet Connectivity over 4152 Route Kms of Central Railway covered with OFC (Optical Fiber Cable), its officials have said. Work of making this facility available at these Stations on Central Railway has been completed.
In the Mumbai divison, a total of 88 stations have been copverdd with Wifi while in Pune, 56 stations have been covered. In Bhusaval, Nagpur and Solapur divisions, 83,78 and 74 stations have been covered respectively with Wifi.
The responsibility to implement this remarkable Digital India initiative has been entrusted to Railway Mini Ratna PSU “RAILTEL” and has so far commissioned this facility at 6070+ stations across India.
