This summer wasn’t quite the Jet-Set-Go season

NEW DELHI: The summer months of April, May and June, which traditionally witness brisk business in tourism, turned lukewarm this year for service providers and hospitality majors as the industry sees a slump in air traffic since the grounding of Jet AirwaysNSE -4.96 % and a slowdown in business activities.

Among the domestic hospitality chains, Indian Hotels CompanyNSE -1.15 % (IHCL) reported Rs 571 crore revenue from operations for the quarter ended June, as against Rs 564 crore a year ago, posting a 1% rise in its standalone results.
