Thane family which attacked MSEDCL team stole electricity worth Rs 17.68 lakh
KALYAN: The Dudhkar family — which attacked a team of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) during action in Kakadwal village of Kalyan East Division in Maharashtra’s Thane district — had stolen electricity worth Rs 17.68 lakh, it has been revealed.
On January 11, the Dudhkar family had attacked and beat up the engineers and employees, including the executive engineer, when they unearthed electricity theft by the Dudhkar family residing in the entire ground plus three storied building.
The team had received information that the family was receiving only an average monthly bill of Rs 2,500.
