Tesla cuts prices on electric vehicles for US market
Tesla has slashed prices on its top-selling electric vehicles for the US market, the automaker’s website showed, after it recently cut prices in China and missed Wall Street estimates for fourth quarter deliveries.
The price cuts, announced in US time, on the Model 3 and Model Y, ranged between 6 percent and 20 percent compared with the prices that held before the discount, according to a Reuters calculation.
That is before accounting for a $7,500 federal tax credit that took effect for many electric vehicle models as of the start of January.
