Telangana: EESL, TSSPDCL sign MoU to provide energy efficient appliances to consumers
HYDERABAD: To encourage the consumers to use energy efficiency appliances such as ACs, motors and ceiling fans, the Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TSSPDCL) and Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the implementation of utility-led Demand Side Management (DSM) programme for the consumers of the discom.
The EESL and TSSPDCL will provide energy efficient appliances at discounted prices in the discom’s jurisdiction. Before extending it to all the districts, a pilot will be taken up in some divisions in the city.
“Under this MoU, the program will be designed and piloted with selected consumers. It will subsequently be rolled out to cover all consumers of TSSPDCL.
