Telangana discoms propose hike in power tariff
HYDERABAD: Power consumers will have to shell out more towards power bills from April, 2022.
The Telangana power distribution companies — Telangana Southern Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TSSPDCL) and Telangana Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSNPDCL) – have proposed to increase 50 paise per unit for low tension (LT) domestic consumers and Rs 1 per unit for all other consumers including LT commercial and high tension (LT) consumers.
As a result of hike, the power utilities get an additional revenue of Rs 6,831 crore.
The discoms have submitted power tariff proposals to Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission (TSERC) on Monday.
