Telangana: Congress and BJP demand Metro for Old City

Hyderabad: Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and BJP floor leader Raja Singh on Monday demanded the state government to explain why the Metro Rail project was being delayed in Old City.

Participating in a debate, Bhatti said “The Congress government brought Hyderabad Metro Rail project, which connects Old City till Falaknuma in the first phase. However, Old City has not been connected till date. Who is obstructing the Metro in Old City? For whose benefit did the government halt the project in the Old City? The government should come out with all the facts.”
