Tata Power shares rise 2.91% as Nifty gains

Shares of Tata Power Company Ltd. traded 2.91 per cent up at Rs 224.75 on Thursday at around 10:00AM (IST), while the benchmark BSE Sensex advanced 74.64 points to 63217.6.

As many as 535,778 shares changed hands on the counter with a total value of Rs 11.94 crore.

The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 251.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 182.45.

On the technical charts, the 200-DMA of the stock stood at Rs 213.79, while 50-DMA was at Rs 203.02. If a stock trades above 50 DMA and 200 DMA, it usually means the immediate trend is up.
