Tata Power Company Ltd. shares drop 0.24% as Sensex rises
Shares of Tata Power Company NSE 3.66 % Ltd. traded 0.24 per cent down at Rs 82.85 at 11:44AM (IST) on Monday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 252.18 points to 49034.69.
The stock had settled at Rs 83.05 in the previous session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 84.6 and 52-week low of Rs 27.0, respectively. As per BSE data, total traded volume on the counter till 11:44AM (IST) stood at 1202476 shares with a turnover of Rs 9.98 crore.
At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 24.86 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 3.34 per share and 0.49 times its price-to-book value, BSE data showed.
A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher share price today because of growth expectations in the future.
