Tamil Nadu: Third solar plant soon to be commissioned at Ukkadam

Coimbatore: The city corporation is getting ready to commission its third solar plant at Ukkadam.

The 3.6MW plant is the largest the corporation has installed so far. It is being installed on the 15 acres of land adjacent to the sewage treatment plant (STP) at Ukkadam. The Rs 17 crore facility has 1,286 solar panels, each with a capacity of 320W.
