Supreme Court upholds the Bombay HC order to allow airlines to book middle seats
Mumbai: In a major relief to the airline companies, the Supreme Court has upheld the Bombay High Court order that has permitted all flight operators to allow passengers to occupy all middle seats in flights. However, the High Court had clarified that airlines should strictly adhere to the guidelines of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
On Friday, the division bench of the Supreme Court had dismissed the plea filed by the Air India pilot with the observation that they are not finding any merit.
