Substandard work dents roads leading to Auli

Despite the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s orders and repeated claims of making the state’s roads free of potholes last year, the condition of roads remains pathetic in various parts of the state. The famous snow sports destination of Auli near Joshimath in Chamoli district is reached by roads which are riddled by potholes. The condition of the roads to Auli is causing inconvenience to the travelers. Considering this, the department concerned is undertaking necessary action but the quality of the work is being questioned by the locals. Such is the quality of the work that the tar being laid is coming off shortly after being laid.
