Stone blasting for widening of Dwarsuni ghat road begins in Odisha
BARIPADA: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Friday began stone blasting work on NH-49 at Dwarsuni ghat in Bangiriposi block to widen the road to avert regular mishaps.
The 9-km stretch of road along Dwarsuni ghat from Baripada to Bisoi is narrow and pothole-ridden and has become a dangerous zone for commute. Since the area witnessed regular road accidents, locals had urged the NHAI and district administration to repair the road.
