Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises
NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 11:26AM
Tata Power Company(up 14.20%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 6.80%), GE Power India Limited(up 6.01%), Jyoti Structures(up 4.99%), Karma Energy(up 4.73%), RTNPOWER(up 4.71%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 4.68%), Indowind Energy(up 4.47%), Adani Power(up 4.28%) and Orient Green Power Company(up 4.26%) were among the top gainers.
Reliance Power(down 4.97%), NHPC(down 1.66%), Energy Development Company(down 0.44%) and Torrent Power(down 0.08%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 147.0 points up at 18138.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 373.56 points at 60657.87 at around 11:26AM.
