Stock market update: Power stocks down as market falls
NEW DELHI: Power shares closed lower in the Friday’s session.
DPSC(up 20.00%), Energy Development Company(up 4.82%), Indowind Energy(up 4.79%), Orient Green Power Company(up 4.73%), K.P.I. Global Infras(up 4.68%), PIGL(up 2.39%) and Indo Tech Transformers(up 1.60%) stood among the top gainers.
Tata Power Company(down 6.36%), ABBPP&SLTD(down 5.27%), Reliance Power(down 4.91%), JSW Energy(down 4.76%), NTPC(down 4.70%), NLC India(down 3.83%), Adani Power(down 3.62%), PTC India(down 3.50%), KEC International(down 3.34%) and Inox wind(down 2.96%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 509.8 points down at 17026.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 1687.94 points at 57107.15.
