Stock market update: Energy shares slide; Adani Transmissions plummets 6%
NEW DELHI: Shares of energy companies were trading with losses in Wednesday’s morning session.
Shares of Adani Transmissions (down 5.85 per cent), Tata Power Company (down 4.93 per cent), GAIL (India) (down 3.55 per cent), Reliance Industries (down 0.98 per cent) and Indian Oil Corporation (down 0.86 per cent) were among the top gainers in the index.
HPCL (down 0.78 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 0.71 per cent) and NTPC (down 0.68 per cent) too were in the red.
The Nifty Energy index was trading 1.09 per cent down at 14,298.95 around 10:30 am.
