SpiceJet to shift operations to Mumbai Airport’s Terminal 2 this week

Budget carrier SpiceJet will shift its entire Mumbai operations to Terminal 2 of the city’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport from 22nd September 2019, the airline said. “Effective 22 September 2019 the entire airline operation of SpiceJet will shift to Terminal 2 of Mumbai Airport,” the airline tweeted. The transition is being proactively planned and implemented by the airline with the active support of Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) to enhance passenger convenience and improve connectivity of international and domestic passengers, SpiceJet said.

The consolidation of operations will help SpiceJet efficiently service thousands of passengers travelling with SpiceJet to and from Mumbai Airport across both its domestic and international networks by consolidating operations under one terminal. It will lead to better synergies and cut down costs substantially for the airline, the budget carrier noted.
