SpiceJet, GHIAL in pact to promote agri exports from India to UAE

SpiceJet has signed an agreement with GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) and Ras-Al-Khaimah International Airport, the UAE, to promote export of agricultural products.

The tripartite was signed at the last day of the Wings India 2020 here on Saturday. Exports are expected commence from April 2020.

The agreement, which is being taken up as part of the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s (MoCA) Krishi Udaan scheme, would promote export of agri products from India to the United Arab Emierates and neighbouring countries, making Hyderabad as a base.

The MoU would cover products like mango, okra, chillies, curry leaf, herbs, fruits and vegetables, spices, livestock, dairy and marine products.
