SpiceJet flight from Visakhapatnam to Vijayawada soon

VISAKHAPATNAM: Following representations and requests by the Tours and Travels Association of Andhra Pradesh (TTAA) and Andhra Pradesh Air Travellers Association (APATA), Visakhapatnam will get back its connectivity to Vijayawada with SpiceJet agreeing to operate one of its flights from Visakhapatnam, connecting Vijayawada and Chennai. The morning daily flight will be effective from October 27, according to sources.
This will be the first flight from Chennai to Visakhapatnam and also the first flight from Visakhapatnam to Chennai. According to K Vijay Mohan, president of TTAA, “Visakhapatnam had lost its connectivity after Alliance Air withdrew its services.
Frequent flyers to Vijayawada were disappointed as there was no connectivity to the city.” He added that SpiceJet has agreed to operate a flight on the route.
