SpiceJet claims of highest load factor

PUNE: Despite the ongoing safety issues of its aircrafts which resulted in the DGCA show cause notice, SpiceJet on Tuesday claimed that it has flown with the highest load for a record seven years.
For the last 84 out of 85 operational months starting April 2015, SpiceJet has recorded the highest occupancy among all Indian domestic airlines with sizeable pan-India operations. The airline continues to see robust demand in the coming quarter, the airline claimed.
The airline also holds the envious distinction of having flown with a PLF of more than 90% for a record 58 consecutive months.
The airline’s load factor for the last eleven days continues to be extremely impressive with a PLF of 83.1% on July 1, 88.2% on July 2, 90.1% on July 3, 86.5% on July 4, 86.2% on July 5, 85.8% on July 6, 84.1% on July 7, 84.2% on July 8, 86.6% on July 9, 85.1% on July 10 and 81.3% on July 11, the airline said.
