SP gets road damaged by Naxalites rebuilt

As a strategy, Maoists damage roads in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region, to prevent movement by security forces but causing difficulties for common people as well. The Sukma police chief on Saturday got one such road rebuilt.

Recently Maoists had damaged a road connecting Ramaram to Badeshetti village in the Naxalite hub Sukma district, a police communication said.

Sukma Superintendent of Police K.L. Dhruv, on Saturday, while travelling to Badeshetti village found the road cut at some places by the Maoists.

The officer, who was on a bike, called road construction agencies and got the road repaired in the presence of police.
