Southern Railway to conduct speed trial between Chennai and Renigunta
CHENNAI: Southern Railway will conduct a speed trial on the Chennai-Arakkonam-Renigunta section on Friday to assess quality of tracks to operate trains at 130-145kmph.
A track recording car with an LHB coach is likely to be hauled by WAP7 locomotives at the helm for the trial run, according to a press release.
The trial will be held between Chennai Central and Renigunta from 10.30am to 12.30pm. In the return direction, it will be held from 12.45pm to 2.45pm.
