Solar energy panels to be installed at wind power plant sites in State
New and Renewable Energy Minister Hardeep Singh Dang has informed that solar energy panels will also be installed at wind power plant sites in the State soon. This will provide solar energy in the daytime and wind power at night, which will be an important step towards making Madhya Pradesh self-reliant.
Dang said this while reviewing the draft of the renewable energy policy. Principal Secretary New and Renewable Energy Sanjay Dubey, Managing Director Urja Vikas Nigam Deepak Saxena and senior officials were present in the meeting.
Dang informed that this year maximum number of solar parks have been approved for Madhya Pradesh in the country. Of the 18,000 MW solar parks approved in the country this year, about 5,000 MW solar parks have been approved for Madhya Pradesh alone.
