Snag delays Air India Paris-Delhi flight by over 24 hours
NEW DELHI: A technical snag led to a delay of over 24 hours for the almost 220 passengers who were to fly Air India’s Paris-Delhi flight (AI 142) this Tuesday (December 6). They boarded the Boeing 787 in time for the scheduled 9pm departure but the Dreamliner then developed a snag. The airline’s engineering team tried to rectify the same and passengers remained on board for about two hours.
Subsequently, they were asked to alight from the aircraft. A passenger complained there was no word from AI on when the flight will leave.
“We sent passengers to hotels in Paris after the snag. The aircraft took off for Delhi on Wednesday at 10.30 pm,” said an airline official.
