Smart City Mission-III: Controversies mar smart Malhar Road, ROB, RUBs projects

A number of projects such as Development of Malhar Road as Smart Road, Retrofitting of Sarabha Nagar Market, carcass utilisation plant and Waterfront Development, including Landscaping and beautification, along Sidhwan Canal (Phase I) under the Smart City Mission were hit by controversies.

Concerns raised by residents or various organisations, including market associations, and also leaders of political parties such as the SAD, BJP and AAP over some projects were yet to be addressed.
