Skyways in Cantt: Uncertainty over defence min nod for land

SECUNDERABAD: Despite SCB giving clearance for allotment of land for two elevated skyways, uncertainty prevails over the ministry of defence (MoD) nod for 125-acre defence land which the state government wanted for executing works in Secunderabad Cantonment.

Defence sources told TOI, “Clearance for allotment of defence land has to come through a proper channel. Till date, there is no official communication from the MoD.” A source said a delegation from the state government met the Union defence secretary in Delhi in August and urged him to allot the defence land for the skyways.
