Share price of Tata Power jumps as Sensex drops 100.78 points
The share price of Tata Power NSE 1.33 % Company Ltd. gained 1.69 per cent to Rs 141.1 at 10:25AM (IST) in Tuesday’s trade. The counter has hit a high of Rs 141.9 and low of Rs 139.35 so far during the session. The stock had closed at Rs 138.75 in the previous session.
The counter has had a total traded volume of 1076838 shares so far with a value of Rs 15.18 crore on the NSE. It traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 34.46 and a price-to-book ratio of 1.58.
A higher price-to-earnings ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price for per rupee earnings given by the stock because of better future growth expectations.
