Share price of HPCL jumps as Sensex gains 129.84 points
Share price of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. gained 2.28 per cent to Rs 304.65 at 10:10AM (IST) in Wednesday’s trade. The scrip hit a high of Rs 306.6 and low of Rs 298.55 so far during the session. The stock had closed at Rs 297.85 in the previous session.
The counter had a total traded volume of 10:10AM shares so far with a turnover of Rs 1.31 crore on BSE. The stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 4.62 and a price-to-book ratio of 0.89.
A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price for per rupee earnings given by the stock because of better future growth expectations.
