SECI’s 1200 MW wind auction gets tepid response
BENGALURU: Wind energy developers were surprisingly lukewarm to the auction of 1,200 MW of projects offered by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), with techno-commercial bids of only half the capacity on offer.
SECI confirmed the development.
Most SECI auctions are usually oversubscribed. Its last wind auction of 1200 MW in mid-February, for instance, drew bids of nearly twice the amount.
