Scindia writes to Railway Minister for stopping auction of Rly coaches

Union Civil Aviation Minister, Jyodiraditya Scindia has written a letter to the Union Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, requesting the latter to immediately stop the auction of the railway coaches and engines of the Gwalior- Sheopur narrow gauge trains. Railways had decided to auction the coaches and engines after the closure of the historical narrow gauge train running between Gwalior and Sheopur.

Scindia, in his letter explained that there is a proposal to convert the narrow gauge train into a heritage train to be run in Gwalior city. He added that he has already prepared a concept plan for the same and has forwarded it to the Madhya Pradesh Metro Railway Corporation for a feasibility study.
