Scindia meets airline executives to discuss relaxing flight caps

The cap on the number of flights and minimum and maximum fares that airlines can charge in the domestic sector may soon go as the aviation ministry has started discussions on relaxing these restrictions.

Aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia discussed the issue of relaxing or abolishing these restrictions with top airline executives on Monday, but no decision was taken, people familiar with the development said.
