Scindia bats for effective flyers’ grievance redressal; sets 100-day target for starting various projects

NEW DELHI: Airlines will now be responsible for ensuring passengers get refunds within the promised timeframe even if the tickets were bought through travel agents or portals.

Union aviation minister J M Scindia on Thursday said an upgraded version of the grievance portal AirSewa 3.0 will be launched on September 30.

The biggest complaint during the pandemic has been about refunds. “Giving refund will not be the responsibility travel agents alone, but now also that of airlines,” Scindia said.

In the next 100 days, that means before the year-end, Scindia said foundation stone of Jewar Airport (Greater Noida)
