Sarla Aviation to invest Rs 1,300 crore in 500-acre eVTOL manufacturing campus in Andhra Pradesh

Sarla Aviation plans to invest an initial Rs 1,300 crore to build a 500-acre manufacturing campus for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft in Andhra Pradesh, after signing a formal MoU with the state government. The company said the site will be developed as a “giga campus” for producing next-generation aircraft systems and supporting future air-taxi operations across South India by 2029.

The agreement was handed over by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the presence of Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and state infrastructure minister BC Janardhan Reddy. Sarla Aviation said further investment is planned as the project expands beyond the initial outlay.
