Sanjiv Kapoor, former Jet CEO designate joins Saudia airline

Sanjiv Kapoor, the former CEO-designate of grounded carrier Jet Airways has joined Jeddah-based Saudi national airline Saudia as advisor to its Director General Ibrahim Al-Omar. Kapoor confirmed his appointment, but didn’t elaborate.

Kapoor joins it at a time when the airline, out of its Covid woes, has major expansion plans in line with the nation’s ambitions of infrastructure expansion. Kapoor was appointed CEO-designate of Jet by the Kalrock Jalan Consortium that won the bid to run the airline after two years of insolvency proceedings at India’s bankruptcy court.
