Russian embassy responds after Moscow-Goa flight diverted to Gujarat over bomb scare
Following a bomb scare on a Moscow-Goa flight, the Russian embassy said on Monday they were alerted about the same by the Indian authorities, and that a detailed inspection of the aircraft concerned is underway.
“The Embassy was alerted by the Indian authorities about the alleged bomb scare on the Azur Air flight en route from Moscow to Goa. The aircraft has made an emergency landing at Jamnagar Indian Air Force Base. Everyone on board is safe. The authorities are conducting a thorough inspection of the aircraft,” a statement by the Russian embassy read.
The flight made an emergency landing at Gujarat’s Jamnagar Airport owing to the bomb threat, police said.
