RSP awarded by President of India for excelling in energy conservation endeavours

SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) was the proud recipient of the 1st Prize in the National Energy Conservation Awards -ZOZZ (NECA 2022) in the Integrated Steel Plant category. In a glittering ceremony organised at Vigyan Bhawan on 14th December 2022, i.e National Energy Conservation Day, Droupadi Murmu, President of India, presented the award to Atanu Bhowmick, Director In-Charge, and P S Kannan, CGM (EMD) from RSP. R. K. Singh, Union Minister of Power, New & Renewable Energy, Krishan Pal, Minister of State for Power & Heavy Industries, and Alok Kumar, Secretary (Power), Govt of India also graced the occasion. It is worth mentioning here that the Award Committee of Ministry of Power had selected RSP for the recognition.
