Royal Enfield will come out with a pathbreaking EV product: Siddhartha Lal
CHENNAI: Cult motorcycle company Royal Enfield is reinventing itself as a 122-year-old company with an “unwavering” focus on the mid-weight motorcycle segment but the “agility” of a startup.
“It’s Royal Enfield 3.0 where we are more than a century old company with a startup mentality,” said B Govindarajan, CEO, Royal Enfield.
This comes as the company readies itself to launch its first electric products in 2025 even as it consolidates its market leadership in India and picks key international markets to entrench itself.
“We’re working super hard on the EV product, and we’ve appointed 11-12 new suppliers and are adding more competencies in the software area,” said Govindrajan, adding, “We’re also filling gaps in terms of key people.”
