Rotational cuts, outages rise as demand for power surges in Haryana
CHANDIGARH: As the mercury continues to rise with each passing day in addition to inception of paddy sowing, rotational shut downs, outages and power cuts have started haunting the consumers in Haryana.
Besides the scorching heat and sowing season, undeclared load as well as inadequate augmentation of infrastructure to bear the burden of excessive electricity supply too has added to the woes of the \consumers as well as the electricity distribution companies.
According to sources, this week the demand for electricity has gone up by 28% against the supply made last year. As a basic formula, the distribution plan and augment the infrastructure and arrangements in anticipation of 15% increase as compared to last year.
