Roman holiday: ITA Airways starts Delhi-Rome nonstops; India-Italy connectivity to get major boost soon

NEW DELHI: India-Italy connectivity is all set to get a big boost. Erstwhile Italian carrier Alitalia’s successor ITA Airways has started its nonstop between Delhi and Rome Fiumicino.

Budget carrier SpiceJet recently launched a one-stop service between Amritsar and Rome and Milan. And Air India is resume its Delhi-Milan direct flight shortly.

ITA chief commercial officer Emiliana Limosani said: “We are happy to inaugurate (on Dec 4) our Rome Fiumicino-New Delhi connections, the only direct flights between these two capitals.
