Roads to be Audited to identify Black Spots, assess cause of accidents: Nitin Gadkari

NEW DELHI: The ministry of road transport and highways has decided to audit all national highways and identify black spots to assess reason behind road accidents, Union minister of road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari said.

“We have decided that we want to make the audit of the roads, concerning road accidents and road engineering,” Gadkari said at a road safety event here on Tuesday.

He added that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is spending Rs. 12,000 crores for improvement of 780 black spots, as his departments steps us efforts to bring down road accidents in the country.
