Road safety training for engineers mooted

In an aim to build safer roads for commuters, the State Government has planned to provide road safety training to the engineers engaged in construction of roads.

Principal Secretary Works Vir Vikram Yadav has urged Transport Commissioner Arun Bothra for organising a road safety-related training programme for the road engineers.

The Department of Works maintains a road network of 26,156 km in the State. This includes 2,838 km of National Highway (NH) and 23,318 km of State Highway (SH) and other roads.
