Road between Doddanekkundi twin flyovers opens to traffic after 1.5 yrs
BENGALURU: The one-kilometre-long road between Doddanekkundi twin flyovers that had been occupied by cranes, hoists and other heavy machinery for construction of Metro’s Blue Line is finally free of the clutter.
Metro authorities completed the work during the weekend, leaving the stretch open for commuters after almost 18 months. This has eased traffic snarls. “When Metro construction began on this road, it would take a motorist between 20-30 minutes to cross 500 metres between the flyovers and I used it for daily commute,” said Kiran Reddy, software consultant.
